The Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service opened in early 2021 and is the first building to be completed as part of the $1.1 bn Herston Quarter Redevelopment, bringing new and additional specialist public health services to the Herston Health Precinct. The "digital ready" facility provides 182 beds, specialised rehabilitation support areas and a surgical and endoscopic centre with surgical inpatient rooms, operating theatres, endoscopy rooms and recovery spaces.
