MAAP follow a Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow on all our projects based on Autodesk Revit used in conjunction with dRofus to carry detailed health planning information.

We implement BIM across the whole project lifecycle, from pre-planning stages where we have pioneered the use of Revit and dRofus to inform hospital site selection and clinical masterplanning, to the delivery of robust record data for post-occupancy evaluation and asset management.

Our BIM workflow supports consistency across design stages resulting in a single, logical, and consistent source for all design information. In this way we provide a fully coordinated, object-oriented design data service in 3D and 2D form.

Benefits include:

  • Faster co-ordination of all disciplines;

  • Improved quality control of design data;

  • Accurate and consistent 2D drawing production at any stage of the design process;

  • Live, accurate, 3D information supporting user engagement and client decision making;

  • Fully co-ordinated 3D and 2D design data;

  • “Fit First Time” capability support for off-site fabrication, reducing waste;

  • Identify design errors and omissions before construction; and

  • Improved client ‘as-built’ information for asset management and long-term maintenance.

We use a range of design software and program in our projects:

  • Autodesk Revit (BIM)

  • dRofus (BIM Data)

  • AutoDesk AutoCAD (2D CAD)

  • SketchUp (3D Visualisation)

  • Adobe Photoshop (Renders)

  • Adobe Illustrator (Illustrations)

  • Adobe InDesign (Reports and Presentations)
